A passionate knowledge seeker with background in Political Science and Research Interest, M.Sc in Political Economy and Development Studies both from the University of Jos. He also has twelve years’ experience in Radio and Television broadcast journalism.
Kichime has served the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat) Water for African Cities Phase II; where he designed its Consumer Attitude Survey (CAS) and Public Awareness Strategy (PAS) respectively from 2007 to 2010. He has a firm background in Project Management and has served as the Lead Project Management Consultant for UNODC Regional Centre – Quintessential Healthcare Centre Jos, STTA Consultant for USAID/NERI Nigeria Lake Chad Basin Program, Maiduguri.
Kachime was invited by the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Abuja Headquarters in 2011 in a UNICEF led Design of Social Marketing and Campaign Promotional Materials in 4 local languages (Igbo, Yoruba, Housa and Pidgin-English) and English language. Kichime Gotau has facilitated several local and international conferences and has served as rapporteur (Coordinating International Partners) for The UK Aid led North-East Reconstruction Public Forum, Abuja 2018.
He was involved in other projects such as the Action AID ‘PAP’ Project Bauchi, BATV Digitization Training for Mangement and Staff of BATV Bauchi. He is a Diabetes Educator (having quit Medicine and Surgery for Development Journalism). Kichime was a participant in the 2012 TY Danjuma Foundation Media Round-table in Abuja.
Kichime Goyang Gotau is A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance USA, Nigeria Chapter. He is a Special Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corp and a retired Boys Scout Master of the first Bukuru Troupe Jos South, North-Central Nigeria.
Married to Kyenpiya Kichime Gotau and blessed with 3 Children.
