The Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG) is a distinguished professional body incorporated in the United States of America, dedicated to the advancement of professional excellence in leadership, corporate governance, organizational management, and public administration. CILG serves as a standard-setting institution that benchmarks leadership and governance competencies against internationally recognized best practices.

This document sets forth the official CILG Professional Qualification Framework and Membership Framework — two integrated systems designed to define, recognize, and elevate the professional standing of practitioners in the fields of leadership and governance worldwide.

The Qualification Framework is structured across five progressive levels — Foundation, Knowledge, Skills, Professional, and Expert — each comprising five rigorous modules aligned to real-world professional competencies. Unlike purely academic programs, CILG qualifications are explicitly practice-oriented, designed to equip professionals with the analytical, strategic, and ethical capabilities required in modern organizations.
